College kids are heading back to campus again for their spring semesters. That means it’s time for textbook prices to break us down, and leave us feeling like we just got mugged with a tire iron. Many kids use Amazon, book rentals, or the simple act of purchasing their textbooks from students who just took the class last semester, to cut down on the bloodshed. Still, there are many students who get ripped off.

Back in 2010, CBS compiled a list of the top 12 most expensive textbooks in the country. Many of them have gone down in price since then, but here they are as a reminder to avoid high textbook prices at all costs.
