Amanda Bynes has had an interesting past few years in the media. Her numerous encounters with the police, courtroom appearances, rehabilitation, and her displaying signs of schizophrenia in public, has brought her a lot of unwanted (or possibly wanted) attention.

From her summer 2010 fender bender with a cop car while driving under the influence at 3:00AM and refusing a breathalyzer test, to her famous February 2013 tweets calling out numerous celebrities as “ugly”, Amanda is yet to slow down.

If you were a kid like me who watched Nickelodeon in the late 90s, you certainly can remember Amanda from hit shows like “Figure It Out,” “All That,” and her very own “The Amanda Show.”

So what went wrong? What caused one of the most notable 90s child stars to take such a downhill spiral?

Here is a timeline of the most disturbing events to date:

April 10, 2012 – Bynes crashed her rental car into another vehicle on an LA freeway and then reportedly fled the scene.

September 13, 2012 – Bynes was spotted by paparazzi smoking what appeared to be marijuana from a pipe in the parking lot of a Baja Fresh in San Fernando Valley. She then proceeded to cut off drivers and break numerous traffic laws, most likely due to being impaired behind the wheel.

May 2013 –  Bynes was arrested by the NYPD after rolling a blunt and smoking in her apartment building’s lobby. She also reportedly threw a glass bong out her 32 story high apartment room window, and told police it was “just a vase”

July 22, 2013 – Bynes was put in a 5150 involuntary psychiatric hold after starting a driveway fire at a stranger’s home in Thousand Oaks, CA near her childhood home. The Stranger was reportedly an elderly woman who was unaware of what was going on.

Update: June 30, 2014 – All bong charges have been dismissed.

August 9, 2013 – Amanda’s Mother, Lynn Bynes was granted temporary conservatorship by Judge Glen. M. Reiser over her daughter’s care and finances.

October, 1, 2014 –  Amanda Bynes was reportedly kicked out of her the Fashion School of Merchandising and Design in Irvine last month for showing up high, bribing fellow students with money to complete her homework assignments, and cheating off other students exams.

October 10, 2014 – Amanda Bynes wrote Friday morning via twitter: “My dad was verbally and physically abuse to me as a child,” Later that day she retracted her statements by posting the following:

October 10, 2014 – Amanda Bynes hospitalized on psychiatric hold. She will be held for 72 hours which could potentially be extended to 14 days in hopes of a new conservatorship to be put in placed.

Clearly, Amanda is suffering from many social and mental issues. Hopefully, she will start receiving help before things get even more out of hand. We wish her the best in the future.
