Jeb Bush doesn’t quite seem to get it.
Despite the GOP establishment’s favored candidate falling in the polls and losing substantial ground in the presidential field, the Bush campaign recently released an 80-second video entitled “The Real Donald Trump” which didn’t exactly accomplish what it set out to.
Watch the video here:
Jeb’s problem seems to be his need to out-Trump Trump on a variety of issues. Just last week, Jeb’s attempt to publicly denounce Trump’s use of the term “anchor baby” resulted in arguably one of his biggest gaffes to date when trying to make the case that the problem originated with Asian Americans.
“What I was talking about was the specific case of fraud being committed, where there’s organized efforts — and frankly it’s more related to Asian people coming into our country — having children in that organized effort, taking advantage of a noble concept, which is birthright citizenship,” Bush said Monday in McAllen, Texas.
The Asian-American community, as well as legislative leaders, took to Twitter to voice their outrage:

Jeb needs to acknowledge that Trump is a honey badger who simply cannot be embarrassed. Why is he trying to prove otherwise? Compiling 15 year old video clips isn’t savvy by any means.
Sadly, the once optimistic Jeb is also facing a downward spiral in New Hampshire, dropping below 10 percent in recent polling. A recent Politico article has even noted that three of his top fundraisers have parted ways with the campaign due to uncertainty with the strength of his candidacy. The laundry list of questionable comments mixed in with the “Jeb!” persona just isn’t fooling the American people at this time.
