Born in September 7, 1983 Andre Berto is a Haitian-American professional boxer and is two time welterweight world champion.

Berto was introduced to boxing by his father after being tortured and getting beat by his classmates and after that boxing just became a support for him to stay out of trouble. As an amateur, he won a bronze medal in 2003 World Amateur Championship while he maintained a staggering record of winning 22 state titles in Florida. As a professional boxer he captured WBC welterweight title by defeating Miguel Rodriguez by a technical knockout blow. He defended it against Steve Forbes in 2008. He made his second defense against Luis Collazo and again against Juan Urango in 2009.
