Meet Google’s New 6’2″ 330lb Humanoid Robot ‘Atlas’ 0 Boston Dynamics, a firm owned by Google, recently released a video showing their latest design of ‘Atlas’ the humanoid robot. Atlas is 6’2″, 330lbs, and can walk, run, climb, and balance on uneven surfaces better than most humans. “We are interested in getting this robot out into the world. Out in the world is just a totally different challenge than in the lab – you can’t predict what it is going to be like. Our focus is on balance and dynamics – working a little bit the way people and animals do, where you move quickly in order to keep yourself stabilized if you’re disturbed,” said Boston Dynamics’ Founder Marc Raibert.
